Heritage Day (Ag and Art Tour and Stories of the Stitch, Quilt Show) (Copy)

Matthews Farm Museum and the Art Council of the Twin Counties event, Heritage Day, Stories in Stitch and Quilt show. The sight of colorful quilts flying through the pastures of the Farm Museum is an experience not soon forgotten. Area quilters bring their finest efforts for display along with the stories that are part of the quilts. Visitors enjoy the stories and the results of hours of labor that the quilts represent. Prizes are given and many of the quilts are offered for sale. Vendors with fiber related products are available for shoppers as are a variety of fiber demonstrations and activities. Music and food and other entertainment are available at this event as well. This is a free event to come to, so come on out and see the beautiful quilts and read the stories behind them. Registration of the Quilts is through them, so please go to their website to register your quilt at, https://artsculturalcouncil.org/

This event starts at 10:00am and ends at 3:00pm
Heritage Day, stroll around the museum grounds and visit with the museum demonstrators and volunteers look at the farm equipment being demonstrated, music, folk art and endangered sheep, the Gulf Coast Natives along with our other animals. We are again part of the Ag and Art Tour for Grayson County, so please join us to celebrate the farms and artists of Grayson County. The Heritage Day and Ag and Art Tour will be Rain or shine.
