Join the Master Gardener Volunteers for a hands-on service project dedicated to preserving the historic landscape of the Matthews Living History Farm Museum. This Workshop focuses on the dormant season care required to maintain the health and productivity of heritage fruit plantings. Participants will gain practical experience while providing a vital service to this community landmark. The Workshop begins promptly at 1:00 pm with a 45-minute demonstration covering tool safety and core pruning techniques. Following instruction, participants will engage in supervised hands-on pruning of heirloom fruit trees, grape vines, and berry bushes until the work is complete. Bad weather date will be February 28, 2026. Dress for the weather, bring pruners and safety equipment if you have it.
